Scope and content 'In previous years, release of the PHCDS in electronic format was followed by publication of the National Volumes - hard copy versions of the data, containing also secondary analyses and graphical presentations. For the 1997 PHCDS the National Volumes were not produced for circulation because of the rationalisation of the PHCDS, as part of the larger process of creating a Compendium of clinical, health and outcome indicators. However, as an interim measure, some of the graphical presentations based on 1997 PHCDS data were reproduced in this traditional National Volume format for circulation within the NHS.' Scope and content In April 1996, DHAs and FHSAs were merged into the new HAs as part of a re-organisation of the NHS. The number of HAs is 100, compared to 105 DHAs and 90 FHSAs in 1995. The eight RHAs became Regional Offices. A unique organisation code was assigned to each new organisation. The Regional Offices and their constituent Health Authorities and codes (as at April 1996) are listed here.

Scope and content In dataset CRDA/24/1998/37, tables 4 (hse01), 23 (hse07), 39 (hse12), 43 (hse13) and 50 (hse15) contain bar graphs and pie charts with data relating to "Persons". Images of these graphs/charts were printed to file and can be viewed via the Dataset Documentation Catalogue, reference CRDA/24/DD/4. The figures displayed in the worksheet from which the graph was derived ('Graph Persons') are picked up via links to data in the worksheet 'Persons': ie 'Graph Persons' appears to contain only data derived from the 'Persons' worksheet. Despite this, for completeness, the 'Graph Persons' worksheets have been preserved as separate tables. This screenshot shows an example of this type of table.
