Scope and content

The average prices, per kg and in new pence, for a variety of goods, including meat, fish, bread, fruit, vegetables, vehicle fuel, cigarettes and alcohol. This table has been formed by joining the worksheets named 'Meat & fish', 'Other food' and 'Other' in the original file 'RPI_Average_prices_1914-2004.xls'. This file also included a worksheet named 'Data notes' which had the following information;
