Abstract
 | The English Sites database was an interactive database of strategic sites in England between 2000 - 2005. As a key government initiative which took the form of an internet-based property resource, this dataset comprised a web front-end (englishsites.com), that allowed information about development sites for sale to be publicised by public sector organisations. Also known as the English Partnerships property site database (formerly Strategic Sites Database), this dataset held information on more than 200 key sites and links to partner Regional Development Agencies (RDAs). The database, as managed by English Partnerships, was updated quarterly and registered users were alerted as new sites came on to the market. The sites were chosen for their suitability as a development opportunity and for companies wishing to relocate or expand. This dataset also supported the delivery of wider government objectives aimed at supporting high-quality sustainable growth in areas of need across the English regions. |
