Custodial history With one exception, the documents were scanned by The National Archives (TNA) and rendered as PDFs. It is possible that the documents were originally extracted from TNA registered files. NDAD have subsequently extracted the TIFF files from these PDFs, and rendered them as PNG and JPG files in the document browser.
Source of acquisition Transferred to NDAD by The National Archives on 16 March 2006.
Scope and content Technical manuals, reports, minutes, and other documents describing the development of the systems and applications used by the TNA's Conservation department.

This appears to be generic SmartWare II guidance, customised for the Public Record Office (now TNA), and its contents may not be specific to the Conservation Database.
