At approximately 14:43 on 13/05/2009, the London Metropolitan Network (LMN) experienced intermittent failures of its two primary JANET connections which resulted in a loss of network connectivity for the majority of its connected sites, including ULCC. This affected access to NDAD.
The LMN connection was failed across to a backup link at 15:06 while investigations take place on the main JANET links.
Update: 14/03/09
The fault has been traced to a 10Gbs network card which had failed and has now been replaced, and traffic is now running over the primary JANET links again. No loss of connectivity was experienced when the primary links were brought back into service.
