minutes of the Council and other information of relevance to archive professionals
in Wales.
- British Records Association
- Founded in 1932, the BRA aims to bring together archive professionals and archive users. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in historical records.
- A forum for those engaged in the care of
archives and local studies collections in the Greater London area.
- International Council on Archives
- A "professional organisation for the world archival community, dedicated to promoting the preservation, development, and use of the world's archival heritage". The ICA's website includes links to international archival standards, including the General International Standard Archival Description used by NDAD.
- Irish Society for Archives
- Aims to promote the place of archives in Irish society, providing a forum for discussion between archive professionals and archive users.
- National Council on Archives
- Membership of the NCA includes major bodies and organisations in the UK concerned with the care, custody and use of archives. The NCA acts to provide a forum for the regular exchange of views between them. Publications available on the NCA's website include the Rules for the Construction of Personal, Place and Corporate Names used by NDAD.
- Records Management Society of Great Britain
- Professional society representing "all those concerned with records and information, regardless of their professional or organisational status or qualifications".

- UK government agency providing strategic direction for museums, archives and libraries.
- Society of American
Archivists
- Represents archive professionals in North America.
- Society of Archivists
- Professional society representing archivists, records managers and
archive conservators in the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
